  1. Thanks for all the great, detailed information, Rich! What about Sunday, November 11th?

  2. John Welles says:

Due to the colours now associated with 'Connexus', should we expect to see Howard Hampton's photo on this page in the near future?

  3. Rich Birch says:

Tim – At this point we aren't planning on hosting a service on the 11th. Spend some time with your family that day!

John – you make me laugh! I guess it could also be associated with Zehrs, or Home Depot, or even Tropicana!

  4. John — the orange thing caught us off guard too. Someone told me the NDP logo was "Go Orange"! While we harbour nothing against Mr. Hampton, we've got nothing to do with him. Maybe we could become the official website of Tang, though. :)

Actually, the orange has some very specific meaning, and in the next week or so we're going to get you to sample some candidates for the official Connexus logo. The chair and font we're using now is temporary. At that time, we'll also explain why we've gone Orange. While Howard Hampton might be disappointed, it has nothing to do with him…

  5. Maybe on the 11th we could do something as a community – low key… like a walk or something?

  6. Tim — great idea. We haven't made any final decision on that stuff yet, but I was thinking some kind of gathering to pray or to somehow engage our mission. I like your idea…

  7. Joanne says:

I love how Rich in this posting (and the entire leadership team in general) is encouraging people to go where is best for their own spiritual growth regarding Trinity and Connexus. I love the respect for different opinions, the trust in God, and the sheer grace in that. Personally, I am so excited and thrilled about the unfolding of Connexus, but I totally respect others who feel differently. I hope we can all show such grace to one another: Jesus' kind of grace!

    Joanne

p.s. there is probably somewhere closer to Oro that I'm not aware of, but for the November 11th Sunday (great idea to suggest a walk!) perhaps Springwater Provincial Park in Midhurt would be possible. It is about 8 kms west of the Georgian Mall in Barrie, has hiking trails, a children's park, and picnic shelters you can book. It would probably be too cold by then though for that… oh well maybe next summer!
